This is it. The final night. We now put into place all the hard work, dedication, blood, sweat, and tears, all our hopes and dreams, and everything is banking on what we can only hope has been our best effort. When it all comes down to it, all we really get to say at the end is that we did our best, and we did our civic duty to promote democracy and the American way. There has been much learned in this process, and much given, and there is only so much we can do, and let things fall into place. We will enjoy and celebrate, and lament our falls, but only with open minds and hearts.

Thank you for all who have been patient with missed phone calls, and missed opportunities. Thank you for all of your support. And most importantly, thank you for understanding.

I miss you all, and I hope to see you soon!

Take care, and don't forget to VOTE!!!

T-minus 20.5 hours until the polls close. And we'll know our fate and where the direction of our country will take for the next four to six years.

LET'S ROLL!

Well,

I've spent the last four months preparing for the biggest "Get out the Vote" program that Washington State has ever seen, and we're looking pretty good. It's been such an awesome experience working for Patty Murray's Campaign, and i'm really looking forward to the next 23 days. In 23 days we'll see all this hard work, 16 hour days, late nights, putting off friends, family, food sometimes, and fame just to see if we can make a little difference and make sure that more people get access to health care, more people have an opportunity to get a well paying job, and a just a little bit better education when they need it the most - every day of their life.

We've been working really hard together, and I'm looking forward to the next stages of my life. After today, I'm moving to Lewis County, and after the election, down sough to good ole Lousisana for a month to help take back the United States Senate. We are going well, and I know that we can do it.

Thank you for being patient with me, and I'll be back in the NW in December, and I'll be around for a month to see you all. Hope everyone is well, and take care. And send me your address is you'd like me to send you a post card.

Anyway, here we go!!!

haven't updated in a while. things have been pretty busy over the last couple of weeks. Been studying for the LSAT, that I'm hopefully taking in June, and probably October because of my shitty test scores to far. I've been working with the King County Buget Office doing research for a couple of months, and now I'm moving to Vancouver, WA to start a job on June 1st as a Field Organizer for the Re-Elect Patty Murray for Senate Campaign. So, I'll be working 80 hours a week for the next 6 months. If I survive, I'll let you know how things are going. Hope everyone has been doing well, and I hope you have a great summer. I'll be able to keep in touch with everyone if you send me an email or contact information. Was going to hang out with Rode, but he ended up hanging out with some buddies from work. Oh well, next time. And I'll have women dude!

Went to an emo show in Redmond, interesting. Then hung out for a bit, and slept. Didn't do much on Saturday, slept in, hung out with Sarah and Lauren, then headed up to Bellingham with Drew. Why is it so close, yet so far. It's actually a really annoying drive. Like going up to Longview, or out to the Dalles. It's shouldn't take that long. Partied with some members of the band that we saw on Friday - Autumn's Poetry. Went to bed late, after watching some really crappy movie and drinking beer. I've made a vow every day for the past week to not drink beer for a week. Just to see if I have the will power. Guess I need to go hide in a hole for week for that to happen.

Slept all day sunday, but had an interview for a program, Institute for a Democratic Future, so I hope that goes well for me.
This has been one of the best weekends in a long time. Went to work again on Friday, and it was actaully pretty fun. spent most of the time just cutting things up and photocopying, but it went by pretty fast. Came back, only got a few guys to help out with our philanthropy, but we teamed up with my old service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, and went to Wedgewood to Trick or Treat for Canned foods. Had a great time. One of my buddies was an Agent from teh Matrix, so I dressed up as Neo, from when he was breaking into the building at the end of the first Matrix. We ended up with about 400 pounds of food to donate to the University Food Bank. So hopefully that will help with our image a little bit.

Came back, hung around for the band rally. Then dressed up as Bill Clinton, complete with campaign hat and cigars. Headed off to Ian's, Drew's, and Troy's to find me an intern. Had a good time at their party, chilled with Chuck for a while. Came home, passed out until late saturday morning. Helped one of my bros with some errands, then started to work on my window that's been broken for a couple of weeks. gettin' chilly in my room, so I bought a space heater too. Then went to pre-funk the game with Gave, and a bunch of Deke Alumni. the game was awesome, love night games. everyone was standing up the whole time, cheerin' oh man, and we kicked their ass. so we got that going for us, which is nice.

passed out until 1pm sunday, now off to work on the house!

This was our regional tournamennt for the year. 8 months or sprints, stairs, miles and miles of running, cutting, jumping. throwing, catching, visualizing, all for this. one shot at the best tournament of the year. We got seeded 9th coming into the tournament. So we played Humboldt State in our first game. We came out strong, couldn't get past their zones, arguably one of the best in the country, so we ended up with a heart-breaking loss 12-15. So we went down to plan Stanford-B in the loser's bracket. Not much competition here. Much less being on the A team, than on teh B team last year. oh well, I got to play a lot of points, and got a d and a bunch of scores. which was really cool. Then we played OSU to make it to the pre-quarters. Pretty good game. WE had it the whole time. Not much to say, played a little, then we laid it on in the end. we won 15-6. Spent the evening just chillin, ha d agood dinner, then chilled with teh women's team playing flutter guts, cards and mafia. pretty fun.

our first game the next was against Davis. Man it felt good to play those guys, all through their bad attitudes, poor spirit, and general crappiness of being part of ultimate. we beat them late, to get into the back door semis. Our draw was Santa Cruz, couldn't get anything going, really hard to break their defense, and the Sam and Jeremy show. came up short, to end the game, and our run to nationals, and our season. But we tied for 5th, the best showing in three years, and our goal for the season. watched Stanford beat oregon, really close, then we headed out for the airport. heard that Cruz beat Ego in the backdoor final to get the second bid to Spokey, crazy.

Got home okay, Liz gave us a ride home, which was really cool. Then headed to the library to work on a paper for class tomorrow. got a lot of stuf to do tomorrow, but I'm going to be so wasted. ugh!!

oh well, now worries.

Hope everyone has been well!!!!

This quarter has been going by very quickly. Been playing a lot of ultimate. Earned a spot on the A-team this year, so that has been very exciting. Busy with classes, winding up my career here, but I'm taking a victory lap, so i should be done next spring. working hard on the radio station, it'll go through, it's just taking time to jump through more and more loop holes as the time goes on. doing very well in my house. i've been working on a lot of philanthropy events, coordinating work projects and volunteering for large events. Innertube basketball was a blast this year. had a good run all the way to the finals, but it slipped out from under us as the last second. had a great time, and met a lot of really cool people. still trying to get a job as a Hot Shot with teh forest service, but things are only look so-so as times goes on. need to keep working at it.
I miss the res. halls, and seeing friends from there, but it's been a fun ride since I started this thing, so I'm not worried. Keep looking forward to this summer. My brother is getting married in June, and my nephew is almost a year old now. things are really up and up, I'm so pumped for everything.

Hope everyone is enjoying themselves.

This week has been very interesting in my life. I've had to say farewell to a lot of things, people, and places. YEsterday was my last day of work for the summer, and possibly with teh DNR for now. I'm going to apply to some Hot Shot Crews next summer, hopefully I can get on with one, maybe the same one as Eli, that would be really cool. So< I said farewell to my Boss, Tom, such a great guy, really undersatnding and helpful, he really saw the leadership and knowledge in me. That was really great for me. I said farewell to my fellow collegues. I had such a great time working with them this summer. I said farewell to my crew person that I've worked with for two summers. he's off to work at a construction company and may not return next year either. The I said farewell to my engine, Rosebud. She kept me safe during the firestorms last year, and kept my integrity up with how well she performs, even though she's the oldest girl in the region. I said farewell to my dispatch, and Ft. Rains, and thanked them for everything. Then I came home and drove our volvo into town to give her to a family friend. I went with Drew, one of my best friends. Said farewell to the car, Rosie, she has been in our family since it started, twenty-three years ago. came home and said farewell to my friend Drew, he left for school today. I always said farewell, or see ya, but never good-bye. I really don't like that saying, because it's kinda like you may not see them again, I always try to leave it open when talking to people, and hope that I'll see them again.
My Mom has also been saying farewell to a lot of things lately. I think she may be finally coming round to the idea that my father has left us. But we'll never forget him. I miss him so much, and I can't even begin to say how much I care for my Mom and my family. My Dad meant so much to me, and I care about what he gave to me and taught, that I will always strive to be like him. A good man, a great husband and father, and a caring person. The rest is just details.
Anyway, I'm coming back up to the 'Attle' as one of my friends put it, tomorrow around 7 or 8. Have to move in, it'll be cool having a room mate again, Mike is his name. Now I have to go finish packing and getting everything ready, and saying farewell some more. But I'll be back, you can take the person out of the Gorge, but not the Gorge out of the person.
